PEP Program

Matt and Nicole Run through the PEP Program with WWPHS South Girls Lacrosse Team

Mar. 16, 2010

Matt Connor, DPT and Nicole Siegel, DPT, both physical therapists at Sports Physical Therapy in Princeton, took the West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South Girls Lacrosse team through a rigourous PEP program training on Tuesday, March 16. The PEP Program (which stands for Prevent injury Enhance Performance), is designed as a 15-minute warm-up to be performed 3 days a week before practice. The program involves dynamic stretching, strengthening and plyometric drills, all designed to strengthen and prevent injury to the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). The physical therapists of Sports Physical Therapy Institute are very excited to offer the PEP program to the local athletic community. If you are interested in learning more, or would like to schedule a time for a physical therapist to present the program to your athletes, please contact the Sports Physical Therapy Institute nearest to you.
