Outer-sole-
The outer-sole is the most
superficial aspect of the bottom of the shoe. It may be leather,
polyurethane, blown rubber, high-density rubber, or cleated. If
afford contact of the shoe with the ground and in doing so, has an
important function in how the foot reacts to the surface in
contact. Certain materials tend to breakdown quicker and therefore
patterns of wear should be considered when purchasing a shoe with a poor
material longevity. |
