Here at Sports Physical Therapy, we are excited to offer the
benefits of continuing your exercise program in a professional
environment once you have been discharged by your physical
therapist.
Areas of instruction
include:
- Continuation of post-rehab exercise program
- General Conditioning
- Exercise for Weight Management
- Adult Strength Training
- Sports Conditioning
- Time Efficient Training
The structure of the program consists of four
steps:
- Initial Interview
- Structural Assessment
- Orientation Session
- Access to the facility and/or personal training appointments
Initial
Interview This is with the personal
trainer. Before you commit to any programs, we discuss
whether medical clearance is advised, your current condition and
goals, and the practical aspects of an exercise program. This
may be conducted either in the clinic or over the telephone.
Structural
Assessment This is done by a physical therapist to
help identify any muscle and joint weaknesses or imbalances.
This information helps shape your program by eliminating or adding
exercises specific to the findings, which may help you avoid injury
through sports or exercise.
Orientation
Session During this session, the personal trainer
teaches you basic instructions on a limited number of aerobic,
strength, and flexibility exercises so that you can begin
exercising safely on your own.
At this point, you will begin your
exercise program and if desired, personal training sessions are
available as a separate service.
For more information on rates or to set up your initial
interview call the location nearest you or toll-free at
1.855.SPRTS-MED and follow the prompts to the clinic of your
choice.
